IP Experts meeting and MyIPO-JIPII joint seminar
were held in Malaysia
JIPII held the Meeting of IP experts in South America and Asian area in March 5 (Mon), and also held the seminar with Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) in March 6 (Tue.), 2018.
27 people from 9 countries attended the meeting in March 5. Several participants gave the presentation of the case of each country according to the theme “Human Resource Development of IP Experts”, and had the discussion comparing the various aspects of human resource development in each country.
Meeting in March 5
The joint seminar with MyIPO in March 6 was one of the events of 15th anniversary on Corporatization of MyIPO. The theme was “National Effort for Public Awareness and Education of IP”, and 150 participants joined from the field of IP including the members of meeting in the previous day.
Mr. Makoto Nakajima, vice chairman of JIPII, and YBhg. Dato’ Shamsiah Binti Kamaruddin, Director General of MyIPO, gave opening speech. Then, Director of Intellectual Property Management Division of MyIPO delivered a lecture, 6 experts from the IP experts meeting in the previous day spoke about each country. At last, the lecturers answered to the questions from the participants.
Malaysia is now in process to amend the trademark laws for ratifying Madrid Protocol, and also planning to build their own building in near future. From such information, we felt the power to increasingly develop in future.
We expect that our relationship is stronger and extend further through holding this joint seminar.
