1. Objective
The Japan Institute of Invention and
Innovation
(JIII) will hold the Future Creation
Fair
in 2004 to commemorate its 100th anniversary.
Creativity as it inspires innovative
technology
and cultivates the future is becoming
increasingly
important while we strive to appropriately
respond to the vast global issues facing
humankind.
With this in mind, the Future Creation
Fair
aims to contribute to the development
of
the creativity of younger generations
around
the world, and at the same time enlighten
the public on innovative technology.
2. Outline of Events
The following events will be held as
part
of the Future Creation Fair.
(1) International Exhibition for Young
Inventors |

This exhibition will present and honor
outstanding
inventions by young inventors as recommended
by invention related organizations
from a
number of countries around the world.
(2) Emerging Technology Fair |
|
High-tech oriented companies, both
in Japan
and from abroad, will present emerging
technologies
to lead us into future society. This
event
will be organized to inspire the scientific
and technological dreams of those attending,
especially of youth-who will lead the
next
generation. It will also provide insight
into understanding how our society
will appear
in the future.
(3) International Symposium for Promoting
Creativity in Youth
The symposium will contribute to the
development
of creative potential in youth by engaging
persons involved in invention promotion
and/or
technological development. Subsequently,
related events will be held with the
participation
of youth.
